As the Summer heat changes to cooler Fall temps, many of the trees become shippable again. The northern half of the
country (Zones 2 to 6) have a "limited" shipping window as the cold temperatures come quickly. The southern half(Zones 7 to 10) can resume planting as the weather cools down, and many areas can plant all Winter.
Now the reverse happens also, Spring Planting begins as Winter temps warm up. Much of the southern parts of the country can be planted during the winter, while the northern colder areas are limited. Then as the Spring temperatures warm up, the
southern region becomes too hot to ship or plant, but the cooler northern areas finally get their time for shipping and planting.
Some items have changed since last season, whereas others are no longer available. As the seasons change, so does the availability. Always ask if you have a question...
And "What about those Holidays?" This year, make it easy and fast by giving Gift Certificates! They are good for many occaisions, use them "same as cash", specially coded, and they never expire. Always available, see the Order Form under
the "Other Items" section.
Tall-size vs. Regular-size? Some people rather
start with larger trees, and we do appreciate that. Over the last several years, we have been growing more of the trees into larger sizes, especially some of the faster growing trees like the Ameri-Willow. The difference between the "regular" and
"taller" size is age. Both are trimmed back, but the Talls are older, hefty, with a thicker basal caliper. This will vary between species, but the two sizes are very different. Either size should work out fine for a variety of planting projects.
Typically... many of the taller trees sell out early, but keep this page bookmarked so you have the links handy.
