This is a Set of (28) Assorted Iolites. Weight is about 15ctw. The color is medium to dark purple, with stones varying from very clear to somewhat clouded.
What a bargain! Interesting and not very common in the jewelry world, iolites are like a cross between Amethyst and Tanzanite. Plenty of stones for many different purposes.
In this set, there are: (3) 3mm Round, (1) 8mm Round, (2) 4mm Square, (1) 5mm Square, (2) 7mm Square, (1) 9mm Square, (1) 6x4mm Emerlad Cut, (2) 7x5mm Emerlad, (4) 8x6mm Emerald, (2) 6x3mm Marquis, (2) 8x4mm Marquis, (1) 6x4mm Pear, (2) 7x5mm Oval, and
(4)8x6mm Oval.
This is (1) Opal, about 8x6mm Oval. Weight is about .46ct. The color is white with mixed colors inside, a very high quality stone.

In this set: (3) 34x3mm Round, (2) Marquis, 8x4mm and 6x3mm, (1) 7x4mm Pear, (20) Ovals, 6x3mm to 10x8mm.
These are Cabachons... Cabs have a flattened bottom, not faceted. Use these like faceted gems, but are usually fixed onto flat setting surfaces. Beautiful and nice, give these a second look.
